Hello! I’m Shannel, and I’d love to babysit for your family! Working with children has always been my passion—it's what motivates me every day. With over 10 years of experience working with kids of all ages, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children and families in various settings. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education and spent all four years of college working in daycares, where I gained hands-on experience leading infant, preschool and school-age classrooms. Following that, I spent five years working in Behavior Management beginning as a Paraprofessional Aide in Special Education classrooms followed by a promotion to a Registered Behavior Technician and later a Clinic Coordinator, all in which I specialized in supporting children on the autism spectrum. My career then expanded into social work, where I spent three years advocating for minors and their families. Most recently, I took a leap to focus on my true passion—helping children and their families in their homes. Currently, I split my time as a Postpartum Doula with The Village Doulas (check out their website to see how to book me) and as a Babysitter/Nanny. In my free time, I love engaging in arts and crafts and spending quality time with friends and family. I am originally from New York City with Dominican roots (¡hablo Español!), but have lived in Ohio most of my life now! I look forward to the opportunity to support your family and provide the care and attention your child deserves!
